Enterprise Infrastructure Platform
Operation Centre
The Executive Summary
We needed a platform flexible enough to meet the needs of different profiles of IT workers while allowing them to perform complex operations quickly.
Director of UX & Design Technologist
Transitioned users from legacy tools with minimal cognitive disruption, supporting data scales from small teams to enterprise-level thousands of endpoints.
Strategy & Vision
Synthesized competing user habits into a unified architectural pattern that supports diverse scales of operation without sacrificing performance.
Communicated technical trade-offs regarding data density and navigation patterns to engineering leaders and product stakeholders.
Operational Leadership
Led the UX direction for the infrastructure redesign, ensuring design consistency across various IT toolsets.
Introduced new UI patterns designed for high-density information display while minimizing cognitive load.
Optimized design-to-engineering handoff for complex, data-heavy interface components.
The Solution
The platform provides relevant information density and navigation patterns appropriate to each context. It performs efficiently regardless of data volume, balancing the needs of small teams managing dozen of devices with enterprise environments managing thousands of network endpoints.
These initial wireframe concepts focused on modular 'Summary cards' and 'Form cards' that could scale based on data density. The goal was to maintain a consistent logic across varied IT profiles while supporting both rapid scanning and deep-dive editing.
Quantifiable Impact
- 01 —Streamlined complex IT operations across multiple user profiles.
- 02 —Maintained high performance across diverse data scales (10 - 10,000+ endpoints).
- 03 —Reduced cognitive load during legacy-to-modern platform transitions.
